Not a gimmick, Tallow and calendula actually work

I was buying all those modern, heavy marketed, "active" skin products on Amazon....One after the other. Lots of promises, prominent brands and hyped ingredients. But, sadly, after trying perhaps 20, i realized its all propaganda. None of it worked. So i decided to research the basics, the ingredients humans have been using before they learned to to isolate molecules. And what I found out was that for centuries tallow was the product people used on their skin. They made soaps from it, creams, wound dressings, medicines, etc. Tallow is as primal as you can get. And it works! Its an amazing occlusive that locks moisture in much better than silicone or oils or waxes. Yet, of course, because its basically fat, and made of triglycerides it penetrates the skin too and is an incredible emollient. Most importantly, it hydrated my skin without causing a breakout, which was really surprising because even though i have dry skin i break out from most products. Anyway, i was so impressed with this product i had to write a review. I chose this brand because it appeared to be mostly tallow and calendula (another ancient medicinal product). WIth this brand you get mostly tallow and not a ton of other unnecessary stuff, no preservatives, etc. Hopefully if I keep using this ill be able to one day look like my great great grandmother who used to make soap from Tallow. She looked like she was 50 when she was well into her 90s! She looked like she was 50 well into her mid 80s.

A little goes a long way with this stuff! Super nice consistency and easy to spread when warmed on the fingers for a few secs.

You know when you buy your fancy Jojoba Oil or Hyaluronic Facial Serum and you look at the ingredients list to find the titled ingredient near the end of the list? Shwally balm had Tallow at the very top of the list. Which means I actually got a product that is mostly the actual product. I was also delightfully surprised at how well it works and the hydrated, smooth appearance of my skin after a few days. I work at a spa and we have a LOT of high quality products come though that I get to sample and this natural product holds it’s own against the $135 moisturizers out there. I’m ready for the dry, Denver winter now. Thanks Shwally for making a great product!

I like this tallow, it comes pretty quickly and from a small business which is a bonus! It is pretty greasy which I guess is to be expected with a tallow balm.

I’ve been on the hunt for a natural moisturizer since expensive creams seem to not work and have a lot of toxic ingredients. I came across this tallow and decided to give it a try. All I can say is that my face is so so soft. I can definitely say it’s moisturized and it last all day. A tiny bit goes a long way and your face doesn’t smell like beef LOL. Will definitely buy again. Praying they don’t change the formula or bought out because this moisturizer is perfect as is.

Im surprised this doesnt seem to absorb well into my skin. I try to use only a little but it stays like a light grease on my skin and makes my bangs greasy. I have naturally dry skin. Also I was surprised that this was liquid when it arrived. The balm has not hardened at all in a room of 70 degrees. Ill try refrigerating it. Not worth $30

UPDATE:

The seller reached out and informed me that the product I received was damaged from being left in the heat on the delivery truck. They graciously sent me a new one for free, as well as a sample of their new methylene blue formula. The second products I arrived had more of the balm consistency. I have been testing out different ways to use it. I still have some issues with absorption even though I use a tiny bit. I might save it for days that I wear makeup.

I love my Shwally Balm!! I use it every night on my face before I go to bed. It’s a little thick for daytime use slightly greasy. But it’s really helped my skin glow.! Buying my third jar! And have given to friends!

Today everything's a crap shoot with a zillion things to buy and choose from. Yet, unfortunately unlike the store where you can smell it touch it, and smother your body with it I guess the internet has a ways to go. But sometimes we gotta bite the bullet and take a chance, which if I'm honest I hate doing, but that's me what can I tell ya'. But like winning the lottery I got lucky this time. This balm product which just so you knows I was very adamant on getting just turned out to be fantastic. My skin particularly my elbows and the heels of my feet which crack a lot feels so much better. And my wife of course has started to use it which must count for something.

Anyways that's my ten cents worth.

This leaves my skin feeling very protected and moisturized. Definitely a nighttime product being that it is somewhat greasy but that’s what I needed because of my dry skin in winter. I took one star away because the product showed up very messy like it had opened in the box, and some of the product leaked out, not sealed well by manufacturer.

This balm has been so amazing for my skin. I love tallow and loved the extra healing ingredients shwally has added for this face balm. It’s already helped so much with redness and softening my skin. I spend a lot of time out in the sun so I needed something to help heal and repair. The ingredients are so natural and if you haven’t tried tallow before I highly recommend trying this balm!

A 5 right now until I use it a few times. Having a hard time with the smell. Reminds me of a greasy pan from cooking hamburgers. Hard to get past the cow odor. BUT, if it works then that’s great. I will post again.

As a person with many allergies and bad eczema, sometimes breaking out all over my body, I have been looking for awhile to find products for my skin that have natural ingredients and that I’m not allergic too. Fortunately, I found Shwally and their line of natural body products. At first, I was hesitant of the tallow, but honestly it feels great, smells wonderful (I think it’s the squaline oil and calendula) and absorbs into my skin faster than other products I’ve used. So far, this skin balm is what I have been searching for all these years. I definitely will continue to buy more in the near future and try out some of their other products.

I've tried a few other brands in the past and most of them are hard and tough to spread – maybe it's the beeswax they put it in. This one doesn’t have that.

It's softer and lighter, so it's easier to apply and my skin soaks it up quickly.

It also has calendula flowers in it, which is probably what makes it so soothing and effective.

Best tallow balm I’ve tried so far. Get it!

I was skeptical, this was recommended to me by my naturopathic MD. I’m a 48 year old woman and just finished my first jar (one lasted about 4 months). My skin has not been this clear and vibrant in years. I also put a little on sunburned areas to soothe skin irritation. I have recommended it to all my friends. Thank you for a great, clean product!

11/2023 update. It’s the best tallow I’ve found so I quit wasting money on anything else. Combined with clean eating my skin has never looked better. BUY THIS TALLOW!

Been trying to the find a top notch tallow balm and saw carnivore MD Saladino subtly recommending the shwally brand in a IG video they did - and needless to say, been getting a few of their stuff and the ingredients are out of this world. So far balm is amazing, completely takes away inflammation in my skin… and zero clogged pores. Im also using the tooth powder and hair oil and they’re just so clean and nature based and my body is thanking me for using them. Couldn’t recommend all their stuff any more - check the ingredients!!!
