I have been using Shwally Tallow & Calendula Face and Body Balm for a week now and I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed. The balm is incredibly moisturizing, but not at all greasy, and it absorbs quickly into my skin. I have very dry, sensitive skin and this balm has been a lifesaver. It has helped reduce redness and irritation, and my skin feels so smooth and soft after using it.

The combination of tallow and calendula is particularly effective. Tallow is a great emollient that keeps skin moisturized, while calendula has anti-inflammatory properties that soothe irritated skin. The balm has a nice, subtle scent, and it comes in a generously sized tin that will last a long time.

Finally found something I can use on my face, that doesn't irritate my eyes!!! A little dab goes a long way, and this product is amazing! I have mixed oily and dry skin. I apply this to my face, and it has helped the dry areas, without adversely affecting the oily ones. In fact, I just apply this evenly and I have found my skin has improved dramatically.

I also have Rosacea, and this has helped with the discomfort.

I ordered the unscented, and my wife does not like the smell of it. However, when I put it on, I do not smell it at all, and she doesn't complain when she is close to me.

The jar is small, but it will last for quite a long time, a little goes a long way.

The main reason I purchased this was the ingredient list. No seed oils, so I don't have to worry about damaging my skin. The ingredient list is clean, and uses some of the basic stuff found in many old preparations. It's healthy, skin friendly, and works wonders. Can't ask for more.

I will stick with this product. I haven't found one better than this.

Great moisturizer but next time I will buy it scented. The smell of fat makes me queasy. I’m a vegetarian.

Recently became interested in tallow products for skin/hair/nails. As an older woman in menopause, dryness is a real issue in skin/hair/nails... this stuff delivers. I keep it by my bedside and use it every evening on my entire face, hands, and chest- anywhere I need relief from dry skin. My skin eats this up. After a few minutes it's gone- totally absorbed! Very non greasy- even though it's cow fat. Smell is mild, essential oils are a pleasant yet soft addition. Also have the body/hair oil from this company. So far, amazing products and fantastic customer service when I reached out with a question. Just take the leap- buy this! It's worth it.

Finally a jar big enough for me! Most are doing 2oz but it’s really sweet to get 4 at a great price. I was never into tallow, but after trying shwally I don’t want to put anything else on my body. The texture is light and smooth (for a tallow balm!), it has a pretty yellow calendula color (so I know it’s actually in there lol) and it absorbs quickly. I’ve tried other tallow balms in the past and this one is way softer and silkier. I got vanilla scented and it smells like a mix between ice cream and heaven. I use this on my legs, face, lips, hands, feet and everywhere else and seriously my skin just drinks it up. If you haven’t tried it yet, this is a great balm.

Absolutely love this product. Balmy like Vaseline and takes a bit for skin to absorb. But hold on it's worth it. Immediate absorption doesn't necessarily mean a superior product. My partner has pretty bad eczema under his eyes and 3 days of this under his eyes and it cleared up. It is truly hydrating. I use it under my sunscreen as mineral sunscreen can be very drying. I was specifically looking for a seed oil free lotion and came across this (seed oils can heighten sun sensitivity) I like the lack of strong scent also.

UPDATE: Within 24 hours of posting my review, I received an email from this company apologizing and wanting to make it right. The explanation fell on the faulty shipping and bad temperatures, which does make sense. The immediate customer service that I received is next level, as they have gone above and beyond! I have never experienced this level of CARE from a company that truly seems to stand behind their product! They have now won me over as a repeat customer!

I was SUPER excited to get this product but I am now SUPER disappointed. The product I received looks runny, and grainy and nothing like the smooth balm shown in the picture. It also has NO scent of vanilla or calendula or neroli or ANY kind of essential oil scent. It honestly smells like it could possibly be vegetable oil mixed with something.... I CANT BELIEVE I paid this much for a tub of possible vegetable oil :(

i work with cars and im always covered in oil and dirt, so we have to use harsh soaps to get it off... so... after ten years of this work i have developed the driest hands in the world full of red rashes and inflammation. i literally bleed sometime from cracks.. Ive tried everything, and nothing works...

then my wife keeps talking about tallow, and i thought she was a little crazy at first - but here i am, writing a review.

this balm is something else. I dont really know what is so effective, but it is. i now lather up my hands BEFORE work, and AFTER, and my hands basically look totally normal again. i think in a few weeks, maybe theyll look 22 again. next up, my face - maybe i can reverse age too - i don't know!

I’m a home health aide and I wash my hands all the time. My knuckles get so dry they crack open and bleed. Over the past few months I have tried cocoa butter, coconut oil, workman’s hands and Nivea intense healing. They work for a few hours then I have to reapply. It took ONE TIME ! The dryness is gone ! They are still a tad bit red but from where they were this is amazing! Whenever I would use anything else it would burn and this doesn’t. I know it’s expensive but absolutely worth every penny. Will 100% purchase again and recommend to all my friends. Thank you so much ! I also have dermatitis on the sides of my nose and scalp. I’ve been dealing with that since I was 16 and I’m now 34. It’s gone just by using this twice. This stuff is just incredible.

I love this product, specifically the Germanium Rose + Lavender. I thought I was sent the wrong scent because the label said “Tallow + Calendula” but I spoke with the manufacturer who said they’ve just simplified the front of their labels and listed the sent options in the “optional” ingredients list on the back.

First off one positive..I like the texture. Very smooth. BUT the scent I chose with nerolia, vanilla and frankincense is very unpleasant. I don't know if the jar I got is rancid or those scents don't work. For the price I will use it but I've tried other brands that smell much better, like Toups & Co. I'm dissatisfied.

My daughter suffers from EXTREMELY dry skin in the winter that is especially bad on her poor little hands. We’ve tried all sorts of creams and lotions, even medicated ones, and nothing has worked until this balm! This has saved her so many tears. Will definitely be repurchasing!

Completely natural, no weird ingredients you can't pronounce, and there's nothing better for your skin, period!

No need to spend hundreds of dollars on face creams!

I prefer the Geranium Rose + Lavender blend over the Vanilla + Neroli + Frankincense blend...it stays soft and pliable whilst the vanilla/neroli seems to be "grainy", stays solid, and has to be really rubbed in.

Scents are very light and subtle, it only takes a little bit and your foundation will go on effortlessly.

Do yourself a favor and give it a chance...you might just be amazed at the results and your skin will love you.

So I've tried a bunch of different face creams in my life, and they all seem to either dry out my skin, make it break out, or just lie there like an oily layer on top. This is THE FIRST cream I've ever tried that just works. You can tell it's made out of natural, organic ingredients, it basically feels NATURAL and SAFE, and that's the easiest way to describe it. HIGHLY recommended. And it's not just my skin type, I gave my mum half the bottle - she has a completely different skin than me, and she loves it too. Xmas gifts for next year are now secured :D
